Granola gratitude.

Made some deeeeeeeelicious granola.  I don’t know what’s worse, the sugar from apple butter or the fat from canola oil, but I used apple butter instead of oil and it tastes good to me.  Here’s the recipe:

1 cup almonds

1 cup walnuts

1 cup pecans

5 cups rolled oats

1 cup flax seed (I used flax seed from trader joe’s with dried blueberries in it, in lieu of wheat germ)

1 1/2 cups honey

1 cup apple butter

a buncha cinnamon

Mix all of the dry stuff, heat together apple butter and honey, pour over dry stuff and mix.  Spread on cookie sheet, 325 degrees for about 20 mins.  fill yourself up.  or do as I did and eat your way through the preparation process and wait until the next day when there’s room in your belly to try the good stuff.
